Nokia Apps : Trainline Tickets

Posted by aashu Monday, 7 March 2011

After its recent launch on the iPhone, a new version of The Trainline’s app has appeared on the Ovi Store. As well as the ability to search scheduled train times – which is pretty useful in itself – you’re now able to purchase tickets from the app. These are sent to you first class by thetrainline.com or you can arrange to collect them at your local station should you wish.

The first time you buy tickets you’ll have to input all your credit or debit card details and there’s no other way to describe it – this is a right pain. However, on subsequent visits you’re able to use the same details again and just enter the three digit CVV security code from the back of the card. It can, however, be hard to see what tickets are cheapest and, while it’s nowhere near as good an experience as it is on the web, the ability to buy tickets from your handset can be a godsend if you’re in a tricky situation.
