Dell has made its new ST2220 21.5-inch Multi-touch LCD monitor available for sale at its online store. The monitor offers users a wide range of positions for varied styles of user interaction. It is also coated with an oleophobic protective layer that minimizes smudging so that users do not need to constantly wipe or clean the display after each use. As an IPS display, it also offers wide viewing angles of up to 178/178 degrees horizontally and vertically.It is 1080p capable at 60Hz with a resolution of 1920x1080 and has a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1. Brightness is 250 nits and its response time is 8ms. There a several different connectivity options including VGA, DVI-D, HDMI and USB.
Its touch capabilities include mouse functionality such as click, drag, double-click and right-click as well as supporting Windows 7 multi-touch gestures.
The Dell ST2220 is retailing for $31.
